Azita Ghanizada

Azita Ghanizada is one of the Afghan American actress in the United States who has appeared in several TV shows. Her family was from Northern Virginia. She is the middle daughter of two sisters. Ghanizada is the middle child with two brothers and sisters, and was born in Northern Virginia. Ghanizada began her career in the world of television by appearing in a couple of National Commercials. Ghanizada received a nomination for top actress in the film festival in 2004's Laura Neri movie A Kiss on the Nose. The actress played the role of Chiara. Television guest-starring roles includes How I Met Your Mother Entourage Veronica Mars The Wedding Bells NUMB3RS Bones Psych and Castle. Recent roles included the sci-fi action movie Blood Shot (2009) and the comedies that are independent You Only Better (2009). Ghanizada was first noticed in 2008, when she joined the team for The General Hospital spin-off General Hospital. Season 2 of Nightshift saw Ghanizada play the role of Dr. Saira Bhatra, a doctor who specializes in holistic medicine. Ghanizada was a part of Kelly as the Prada Sales Girl in HBO Entourage in 2009, and was also cast in the TV pilot Tough Trade by Weeds creator Jenji Kohn, and executive producer T Bone Burnett.
